Welcome to The Immersive 9 at Arredondo!

As the proud principal of our campus, it is an honor to welcome you to a school specifically designed to ignite the potential of our gifted and talented learners. At The Immersive 9, we believe that education should be an adventure — one that challenges young minds, fosters deep curiosity, and prepares students for a rapidly changing world. Our mission is to provide an enriched, choice-driven environment where your child's unique talents are not just recognized but truly celebrated and accelerated.

My passion for nurturing young minds is rooted in over 22 years in public education. I began my journey right in the classroom, teaching kindergarten, first, and third grades, which gave me a firsthand look at how critical those foundational years are. For the past 17 years, I have served in building administration, including spending the last eight years leading a dynamic K-8 campus. 

My world outside of work revolves around my family, my husband Dr. Shane Bycott, our four very active children, William, Grace, twin daughters Abigail and Samantha, and our super sweet dog, Scout! Being a mom of four heavily influences how I lead; I look at every single student through the lens of a parent who wants the absolute best for their child. Because of that, I deeply value the partnership between our families and our staff.

With my educational philosophy of “do what’s best for each child and meet them where they are every day,” we ensure that the core of what we do has each child’s best interest in mind. Gifted education is not a one-size-fits-all model, and I am deeply committed to ensuring that our curriculum bends to meet the unique intellectual and emotional needs of our students. I firmly believe that the number one job of a leader is to create a culture where everyone — students, staff, and families — feels valued, supported, and appreciated. I strive to build this inclusive, high-achieving environment every single day, and I am thrilled to partner with you as we embark on this exciting journey together at The Immersive 9 at Arredondo!
